From 1930 to 1960 Innisfree was the private garden of Walter and Marion Beck. Today open to the public, you can visit the 150-acre garden in which Chinese landscape design has been reinterpreted in the creation of a unique American garden. 40-acre Tyrrel lake is glacial, most of the plant material is native, and the rocks used in the design have come from the immediate forest.
