Double, Double Toil And Trouble

I feel thoroughly confused about this entire thing. Am I supposed to be happy about the health care reform bill or not? Why did Murphy vote the way he did? I read his press release release and found it unintelligible. ("... $50 billion in taxes on the two largest employers in the 20th District..." Say what?) Was he "told" how to vote? Was his 'yea' vote not needed, so this was a party calculation to retain a Dem seat in a divided district with many "independents"? None of this makes sense to me. I honestly don't know what to think.

The
Macbeth quote captures the situation accurately, but where does that leave us?

Columbia County Democrats, organized by MoveOn.org, rallied outside, and inside, the Hudson district office of U.S. Rep. Scott Murphy Thursday...Murphy announced Thursday that he will be hosting a tele-town hall conference at 7:10 p.m. Monday to continue the discussion on health care reform and the economy, and he invites the people of the 20th District to participate and ask questions and express their views.

The New York Times published an intriguing chart last week on the 39 House Democrats who voted against the health care bill.
