I was feeling all sorry for Historic Hudson Valley (HHV) when I read, "We didn't have the money to buy it, we didn't have the money to maintain it, and we way underestimated how much it would take to restore it." Many of us can relate to that. But then I got to, HHV's "endowment fell to $45 million last spring from about $70 million and now stands at roughly $49 million."
